Hey everyone,
This is the first time I’m taking time to sit down and write up a post. Life has been good in the big town of Winchester. Lyne is just starting her holidays and mine start on Monday. We are eagerly anticipating the arrival of my kid sister and family for the Christmas holidays (can’t wait to hold Mollie, I hope I don’t squeeze her.)
Cable guy adventures never stop. I took a team lead position at the company and am very busy but having lots of fun.
After reading all the stories about car troubles, I wanted to share ours as well. Two years ago, I bought a 97 Bonneville for $3000. I was always proud of that car, even though my friends would call me Grandpa when I drove it. Last month I was looking into a used car sales guide and for fun checked out the possible worth of my car. I was surprised to see that 97 Bonneville with high Kms could get up to $5000! That night I was telling Lyne about my discovery and decided to take the car for a drive (I really don’t use it very often). I guess the car was pretty excited too because when I went to start it, it made the loudest BANG I’ve ever heard out of a vehicle! Apparently it’s the timing chain or something…I’m a little nervous to bring it in.
On a higher note, Lyne and I have an announcement to make…..a new addition to the family, we adopted our first foster child with Compassion Canada. His name is Edwin and he is from Guatemala and he is five years old. He is very cute. I know everyone was probably expecting a different announcement, not wanting to disappoint, announcement number two….we’re gonna have a baby!!!!! Lyne is ten weeks and four days pregnant! We are so excited. So far the pregnancy is going well, not too much nausea and the mood swings have limited to a few mild episodes(lol). This is a huge learning experience for us, we have a web site that emails us every week giving the stats of whats going on for the baby and the mom-to-be and giving the dad-to-be some heads up as well. The due date right now is looking to be July 16/07. Lyne was lucky enough to hear the heart beat this past Monday and I will get my chance on Jan 2 at our first Ultra sound. I won’t babble too much more about it and we will be keeping everyone posted.
Can’t wait to see some of you at Christmas and best wishes to all those we won’t see, hope all is well with everyone.
Kris and Lyne
